We value the diversity and vibrancy that our partnerships bring. Engagement with partners who share our vision informs and enriches our own teaching practices.
Having a strong commitment to supporting students, teachers and colleagues in school settings, we work in collaboration with a diverse range of schools in many Local Authorities. Partnerships are established and developed with core values of collaboration, trust and openness in all that we achieve. Working in this way offers valuable opportunities to share expertise and ideas and enrich the student experience.
ITE programmes provide university-based routes into teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The postgraduate School Direct programme, currently with nine alliances across the north-east region, enables school partners to shape and develop training that reflects their strengths and specialist skills. This ensures that the best NQTs are prepared for working in a range of schools.
As a School of Education, we also work with schools in other ways. We are currently supporting schools in research-informed activities such as bids for, and quality assurance of, teaching and learning projects, as well as bespoke Masters level programmes for CPD. We always welcome approaches from new and existing partnerships to discuss ways in which we can utilise knowledge and expertise in various ways.
