Counselling & Mental Health Clinic
The Counselling & Mental Health Clinic (CMHC) provides mental health services to residents of York and the wider region. The clinic acts as a real-world training facility and research laboratory for our undergraduate and postgraduate students under the supervision of highly qualified and experienced clinical counsellors.
Learning and teaching
The undergraduate and postgraduate counselling programs utilise psychology research laboratories for specialist skills development and group work supervision. To support their course work, students can access an excellent range of online resources, including e-books and virtual learning materials.
We have six training spaces, located in a purpose-built laboratory space. These rooms are fitted with cameras for the recording of skills practice sessions and are used across both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Large group teaching makes use of the modern university facilities.
