It is important that a risk assessment is conducted for any activity that you are taking part in. Activities could include a performance, filming or taking part in an exhibition. A step-by-step guide is available on the Forms, Policies and Procedures page.
The aim of a risk assessment is to ensure that all reasonable effort has been made to minimise the likelihood and severity of potential risks. Technical staff conduct assessments of the Specialist Learning Spaces and stationary equipment within the design centre workshops. These are available on the equipment page.
Completed and approved risk assessments must be issued to everyone involved in the activity and an electronic or hard copy maintained within the area’s Technical Hub.
If you are going to be involved in a particular activity and you are unsure how to assess the risks please speak to your technical team or contact the Technical Services Manager for advice.
