Teaching

My main teaching responsibilities are in the area of research methods at undergraduate and postgraduate level. My teaching style emphasizes the importance of research and the development of critical-thinking skills. I also supervise students in the areas of personality psychology and mental health.

Research

My research focuses primarily on the perils of perfectionism. I have published in leading psychology journals. This work includes collaborations with colleagues at other UK universities (e.g., Dr. Joachim Stoeber, University of Kent and Dr. Elizabeth Austin, University of Edinborough) and universities aboard (e.g., Dr. Simon Sherry, Dalhousie University, Dr. Donald Saklofske, Western University, Dr. Gordon Flett, York University Canada, and Dr. Paul Hewitt, University of British Columbia). Furthermore, my research has been funded by a number of agencies. Most of my publications can be accessed on the YSJU Research Repository.
