Research

PhD Thesis: Leadership Development through Executive Coaching: An Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis to understand how leaders make sense of their development

Supervisors: Professor Bob Garvey; Dr George Boak

My doctoral research is on Executive Coaching and Leadership Development where I explore how executive coaching delivers leadership development. My research employs a phenomenological research approach called 'Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA)' and aims to develop a heuristic device to illustrate how executive coaching develops business leaders. My work is supervised by Professor Bob Garvey and Dr George Boak.

My wider research interests include coaching and mentoring for people development, leadership for organisational development and social media for business and social value creation. I am an active contributor and a group member of London's IPA group where I network and share my research ideas with fellow IPA researchers.
