Late work

Marks for late work 

For a first attempt:

  • work submitted by the published deadline for submission or an examination taken according to the published timetable is eligible for a full mark
  • work submitted by an approved extended deadline is eligible for a full mark
  • work submitted late without an approved extension but within one week of the published deadline is eligible for a maximum of a capped pass
  • work submitted after an approved extended deadline but within one week of the published deadline is eligible for a maximum of a capped pass
  • work submitted after one week of a published or approved extended deadline receives a 0NS (non-submission)

For a second attempt/ resit:

  • the maximum mark that can be achieved for work submitted on time (either by the original deadline or by an approved extension) is the pass mark
  • work submitted late without an approved extension receives a 0NS (non-submission)
  • work submitted after a published or approved extended deadline receives a 0NS (non-submission) - reassessments submitted late are not eligible for capped marks
