Bolster your experience by volunteering

Local projects you can get involved with include Inspiring Minds, a teaching opportunity in local primary schools, The Forget Me Not Project, where you can support Dementia Friends in York and YEAL/YESOL, where you can volunteer to help develop the language skills of locals whose first language isn't English.

At York St John, we maintain links with international organisations so you can get volunteering experience further afield. These opportunities include Think Pacific, International Service, East African Playgrounds and Challenges Abroad.
