Returning to university accommodation
Some students may be eligible to return to university accommodation after first year.
So that we are able to guarantee accommodation for first year students, we are generally required to significantly limit the number of returning students we can accept back into our accommodation.
We have a process in place to allow students who meet the eligibility criteria outlined in clause 9.4 of the 2020/21 Allocation Policy to apply.
Applications for returning students for the 2021/22 academic year opened on 27th January and the deadline closed on the 10th February.
The panel are currently in the process of reviewing submitted forms.
After the panel has reviewed submitted forms, successful students will be contacted and invited to complete a formal application via the Accommodation Hub.
If you are unsuccessful, you will be informed with plenty of notice to look for accommodation in the private sector and support to do so will be provided.
Even though the returning student application process has now closed, there is still an opportunity for you to apply to be on the waiting list. If you want to be placed on the waiting list, please complete our Waiting List form.
Please note: putting your name on the waiting list does not guarantee accommodation will be provided and you are still encouraged to look for private accommodation.
For the most part, the waiting list will be managed on a first come first serve basis, but there may be times when we have to prioritise certain students.
If you join the waiting list we will only contact you if we have availability and a suitable room to meet needs.
