The programme provides students with an advanced education in the key theories of childhood and adolescent psychological development, and insight into the strengths and limitations of the research methodologies that underpin them. Students develop advanced, transferrable research and critical thinking skills.
This programme satisfies the educational standards for chartered membership as a Counselling Psychologist with the BPS, and full membership of the Division of Counselling Psychology. Graduates are also eligible to apply for registration as a practitioner psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council. The programme is subject to BPS and HCPC accreditation.
