We have invested £110 million in our campus and facilities in the last ten years, including the opening of a brand new Students’ Union building and a huge investment in the 57 acre Nestle Rowntree Park Sports Campus which both opened in 2016.

Many of our students live in York during their studies and we provide accommodation within a 20-minute walk of our city-centre campus. York is the safest city in the Region (Complete University Guide 2016) and is a bustling place to live with lots of festivals and events going on throughout the year.

We’d encourage you to get involved in with the Students’ Union during your studies, joining in with clubs and societies and sports is a great way to boost your wellbeing, make new friends and learn new skills to complement your studies.

As a close-knit community of students and staff, we look after the happiness and wellbeing of everyone at York St John University. If you ever need more information or support about any aspects of university life there's always someone available to help. We are committed to an inclusive acceptance of people of all faiths and none, celebrating a variety of world faith celebrations throughout the year through our Chaplaincy Team. Our voluntary Spiritual Care Team of male and female faith advisers includes Baha’i, Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Muslims, Jews and Sikhs are on hand to help you if required.
