It needs all the skill of the performer, the dedication of the professional and the wit to turn your observation of the world into cutting remarks that communicate the failings for the world and express to all how it should be. And not to forget the need to know how to fall over and take a pie in the face for laughs.


Drama & Dance BA (Hons)

This course offers unique opportunities for drama students who are interested in socially engaged practice. Utilising our strong links in the city and region, students will develop work in a variety of education, health and community contexts, including: early years, formal and informal education, mental health, people in care, pupil referral units, prisons and hospitals. This degree will allow you to gain enhanced vocational skills which will enable you to devise performances that explore change in the world we live in.


Independent Music Production BA (Hons)*

Independent Music Production BA(Hons) is designed for producers whose focus is on themselves as the artist. We welcome singer-songwriters and band members who want to become experts with production technology and develop a crucial insight into the mechanics of the music industry so they can take control over their careers by writing, producing, marketing and releasing their own music, all in-house. Our Music Production course will equip you with the skills to create great music and establish yourself as an innovative producer in the music industry. You will have the space to explore your creativity by producing lots of music and gaining feedback from established industry professionals. Music: Performance BA (Hons)

On this programme you will refine your individual identity as a solo performer. You will perform across a range of styles and settings, including the concert hall, recording studio and in the wider community. Working alongside composers, community musicians, and educators, you will learn the craft of advanced performance on your chosen instrument or voice from specialist instrumental and vocal tutors.
