What is a Top Up degree?
A Top-up degree allows you to do exactly what its name suggests: to top-up your existing qualification (equivalent to a HND or Foundation Degree) to an honours degree. There are a number of benefits of doing this: by completing the top up course you will have demonstrated to an employer that you have the academic, organisational and management skills needed for your chosen career path.
All of our Top-Up degree students are integrated with the three-year programme students for subject-specific modules so that Top-Up degree students get a complete university experience.
Topping-up will typically take one academic year of further study for full-time students.
The BA (Hons) (Top Up) Development and Education of Children and Young People comprises of a relevant contemporary qualification which combines theoretical perspectives with the core features of employer engagement, accessibility, progression and partnership.
