When you arrive

We are excited to welcome you to our campus on Saturday 24 July for our Open Day. The Open Day has been separated into a morning and an afternoon session. We recommend that you arrive at the start of your session to ensure you can get as much from the Open Day as possible.

Morning session, 9:00am to 12:15pm (arrive from 8:45am)

You are welcome to arrive on campus to sign in for the morning session from 8:45am. Campus Tours will begin at 9:00am and our first Welcome Talk will begin at 9:30am.

All morning session guests, including those who have also booked a place at our afternoon session, will be required to leave campus by 12:15pm so that we can prepare for our afternoon session.

Afternoon session, 1:00pm to 4:00pm (arrive from 12:30pm)

You are welcome to arrive on campus to sign in for the afternoon session from 12:30pm. Campus Tours will begin at 12:30pm and our first Welcome Talk will begin at 1:00pm.

Signing in

There is a signing in station at each of our Open Day's 3 entrances:

We will operate a socially distanced queue where visitors can sign in at a podium with a member of the Open Day team. You may be asked to walk a short distance to an alternative Entrance to help with the flow of visitors and reduce queuing times.

You will need to give the name of the booked visitor to the staff member, who will check that you are on our register. If we cannot find your name on the system, we will ask you to show us your booking confirmation before permitting entrance to the event as we need to adhere to strict number controls on campus.

Please remember that if you have not booked a place, you should not attend. Our Open Days have been limited in numbers to make sure that guests, students and staff can stay safe, and we will not be admitting extra guests on the day.

Welcome talks

Each of our Open Day sessions will begin with a welcome talk in Temple Hall (please check the map on your handout for directions). Talk times are:

9:30am - Morning session welcome talk

1:00pm - Afternoon session welcome talk

The talk will also be live streamed across campus to allow us to maintain social distancing.

All of our welcome talks and subject talks are optional, and we advise planning your day in advance so that you know which talks you want to attend. Check subject talk times in advance to make the most of your day.

Subject talks

Live subject talks will take place across campus, led by our academic staff.

To find out the time and location for the talks you would like to attend, check our morning and afternoon session schedules below. Remember that all of our welcome talks and subject talks are optional, and we advise planning your day in advance so that you know which talks you want to attend.

*Talks marked with an asterisk may be live streamed across multiple rooms. When you arrive for the talk, you will be advised which room you are in. You will still be able to ask questions if you are in a room with a live stream.
