The first Diwali festival was celebrated on Sunday 6 November 2005 in Temple Hall and has continued ever since.

The Chaplaincy, Faith Advisers and the York Indian Cultural Association made it a great success for the people of York and the established Indian community. Diwali continues to be celebrated and you can find out more information by contacting Hindu Faith Adviser.

Our Hindu Faith Advisers hold a weekly prayer group for York-based Hindus in the Contemplation Room (Quad North 006) on York St John campus every Saturday from 4.00pm to 8.00pm. For more information on this event please contact the Hindu Faith Advisers through the Chaplaincy Office at chaplaincy@yorksj.ac.uk
