The ISJ hosts and works with research groups and partners across the University.
Asylum Seekers and Refugees Research Collective
Hosted by the Institute for Social Justice, this is a cross-school network focused on the lived experience of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. It has a particular interest in human rights, qualitative, action research and a compassionate approach to inquiry that informs policy, practice, and pedagogy relating to refugees, asylum seekers and matters relating to migration.
Centre for Language and Social Justice
The Centre explores why social inequality and injustices are largely enacted through language.

Converge Evaluation and Research Team
The Converge Evaluation and Research Team (CERT) worked with the ISJ to offer bespoke evaluations of mental health services and community projects. CERT is made up of people with lived experience of mental health difficulties.

Ecological Justice Research Group
The Ecological Justice Research Group represents all 5 of the University's academic schools and several professional services departments. It seeks to support projects, research and discussion that recognises that social justice and environmental issues are tightly intertwined.

Hosted by the Institute for Social Justice, this cross-school group is a forum to discuss research and practice from a range of disciplines that locates itself within the Venn diagram of participatory enquiry, action research and democratic methodologies.

Prison Partnership Project
Running since 2013, the Prison Partnership Project delivers creative arts programmes designs to bring female prisoners and university students together to inspire creativity and social change.
