York Centre for Writing

In the past we have welcomed authors such as Kathleen Jamie, Sarah Hall, Michel Faber, Daljit Nagra and Margaret Atwood, who have inspired students and members of the local community alike.

The Centre curates two print publications, both published by Valley Press and providing commissioning, editing and publishing experience to undergraduate and postgraduate students:

• Beyond the Walls, our student anthology
• The York Literary Review, our international creative writing journal
