What we offer

A dedicated team of Education Outreach Workers organise and plan events for students. We work with students from Year 6 to college leavers and everyone between.

We focus on providing information about higher education so students can make informed decisions about their future. You can choose sessions from our range of presentations and activities. We are also able to plan or deliver bespoke sessions if you have a specific request.

Sessions can take place on campus or in your school or institution.

Potential activities for our Professional Policing taster day include:

  • Familiarisation: course of study/campus.
  • Crime Scene House: immersive learning event. Students will attend the scene of a drugs death and conduct first responder actions, managing crime scene and applying the five building blocks of investigation.
  • Classroom-based problem solving exercise: Students will complete a desk top exercise making and recording decisions relating to facts contained within four vignettes which draw upon decisions to arrest and carry out police powers under PACE 1984. This will be highly interactive and make use of Mentimeter polling/voting within the exercise.
