Professional practice placements

You will be required to complete a minimum of 1,000 hours of practice placement during your training. We have partnerships that facilitate practice placements in a variety of clinical settings across the NHS, social care, private and voluntary sectors. We also support ‘role emerging’ placements, where you work in non-traditional occupational therapy settings. Throughout all practice placements support is provided by the practice placement educator and occupational therapy lecturers.

Supportive staff recognised by students

Several of our team were nominated in the 2022 Students' Union Awards. Our nominations included the Outstanding Inclusive Practice Award, Inspirational Staff Member, Outstanding Feedback Awards and Most Supportive Staff Member.
