York St John University Publication Scheme
1 Introduction
This publication scheme commits the University to make information available to the public as part of its normal business activities. The University’s publication scheme is based on the Model Publication Scheme as defined by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and is published at https://www.yorksj.ac.uk/policies-and-documents/freedom-of-information-publication-scheme/
The scheme sets out the classes of information that the University publishes or intends to publish and the manner in which this information can be accessed. The information listed in the University’s publication scheme is available free of charge unless otherwise stated.
Requests for information which isn’t covered by the University’s publication scheme should be submitted via a Freedom of Information request to foi@yorksj.ac.uk.

8 Information not covered by the publication scheme
You will have the right, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, to request any information held by the University which has not already been made available under its publication scheme.
Requests will have to be made in writing and in general, York St John will have 20 working days to respond. York St John may charge a fee. The University will not be required to release information to which an exemption under the Act legitimately applies. However, the University will be required to explain why it is not releasing the information and it may have to justify this to the Information Commissioner.
