Studying Professional Policing will give you the pre-join qualification you need to apply for a Police Officer role in England or Wales. It will also give you the academic and life skills you need to contribute to a modern police service.

Degree in Professional Policing BA (Hons)

Work experience
Providing a practical focus on the degree and giving you the best chance of employability are our key objectives. We encourage and facilitate recruitment to the specials constabulary for our students. We also conduct varied field trips across the region to police forces, prisons, mosques and more. We will introduce you to specialist guest speakers so you can engage with real policing contexts, criminal justice and the perceptions of victims.
Across the course we expose you, on campus, to live policing situations using our ‘crime scene’ house. We will invest time in mentoring you in CV writing, skills auditing and preparing for police interviews.
While you study with us we will do everything we can to help you get the most out of your degree and maximise your potential.

This degree will give you the pre-join qualification you need to apply for a police officer role in England or Wales. It may also be of interest if you are considering other roles within criminal justice.
