Accommodation for prospective students
We guarantee accommodation for all UK, EU and international first year students, as long as you meet our application deadlines.
Our accommodation sites are all in the centre of York, 1 mile or less from campus.
We have a great range of rooms, with different facilities and prices to suit all. You can use the listings below to explore the options, and find the perfect place to become your new home.
Living in the centre of York means large supermarkets, shops and the city's green spaces are all close to your accommodation. Read more on our Life in York page.
Please note that contract lengths have recently changed due to the academic year starting later than usual. This change is reflected on the Accommodation Hub.

Undecided about accommodation or looking to stay at home?
Many of our students commute to York St John or stay at home for their first year. Find out about the support that we give to our commuting students, including the opportunity of short term rents in our halls of residence to ensure that you don’t miss out on social events or that you make your early lecture.
