I'm committed to saving energy and try to make sure PCs, monitors, photocopiers and lights in our office and around campus are switched off when not in use.

I won an award for my sustainable coffee brewing design to cut coffee pod waste.

I signed up local suppliers like York Coffee Emporium and VFC to our food outlets on campus.

I show staff and students how to grow food on campus as part of Wild Wednesdays, a group that meets to grow edible plants, helping to tackle food security whilst supporting biodiversity.

I set up the Climate Action Society for students to help raise awareness about environmental issues.

I research air quality and turned my bicycle into a monitoring station to collect data.

I created a banquet art exhibition in Fine Art to raise awareness about food sustainability issues.

I'm the Living Lab's Community Gardening Volunteer Coordinator, encouraging students to get involved in growing food on campus.

I collect hard to recycle items like pens, crisp packets and biscuit wrappers from our office and take them to St Nicks in York for recycling.

We commute to work by bike. Between us we save over 7kg of CO2 a day when we cycle instead of driving.

I sourced sustainable furniture for the fit out of a new area of the London campus, helping to achieve a SKA Gold certificate for sustainability.

I have redesigned our outreach activities to to reduce printing, and use more sustainable methods of travel.

I manage the Garden Cafe, a student-led pop-up cafe, bringing home-made sustainable food to our York campus.

I developed an app that cuts food waste by helping people keep track of what's in their fridges and cupboards.

I lead the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative for York Business School, which aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge to advance sustainable development.

I reduce the environmental impact of my clothes by wearing items that are thrifted, hand made or owned for more than 3 years.

I volunteer at the local Groves Repair Cafe, fixing items so they can be reused instead of thrown away.

I worked as an intern in York Business School researching how sustainability is taught across the school.

I support our York St John students and wider community to act as climate changemakers through our Living Lab project.
