Top class facilities

We don't place weekly restrictions on how much time you can spend in the studio.

The Bunker is our main studio and features 3 large recording spaces centred around the Audient ASP8024 HE large format recording console for analogue tracking and mixing. It is completely soundproof and so can be used 24 hours a day.

Our other studios include the Synth Lab which is designed for an electronic production workflow. We have a Critical Listening studio equipped with spatial audio and Dolby atmos, and a dedicated studio for mastering audio.

Learn more about our studios in our teaching spaces galleries.

Professional work experience

We provide opportunities for you to practise your skills in prestigious professional settings. This includes a monthly project in which our students produce the live sessions for BBC Introducing in North Yorkshire, recording artists curated by the BBC in our Creative Centre. The tracks then feature on BBC radio, BBC Sounds and the BBC Introducing website.

For the past 8 years we have taken our final year students to work on projects in the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London. Other working trips have included recording large string ensembles in Eiger Studios in Leeds.
