Mature student induction

New undergraduates who are 21 or over are classed as mature students.

Mature students bring a great deal of insight and life experience to our community, which is especially valuable in a learning environment. However, it is likely that you have had a break from education and/or are experiencing degree-level learning for the first time.

We strongly recommended that you attend opportunities during Welcome Week that will help you settle in academically as well as socially. These will include introductions to types of learning technology used for university level study and a very important information session about the acceptable use of AI in learning.

There will also be opportunities to meet other students within your academic school and across the University. This page will be updated with session times soon!
