Your Students' Union
York St John Students' Union (YSJSU) is the hub of student life here at York St John University. We do all we can to make sure that you have the best time possible at university.

When you register at York St John you will be asked to opt in to the Students' Union.
As a member of the Students' Union, you can join a sport or society, vote in our annual elections, join our loyalty programme and much more.

Find the YSJSU building at the heart of campus, and head to:
- The Lounge: A space to relax, study and socialise. Charge your devices ahead of a lecture and catch up with friends over a frappé.
- Archie's: During the day, grab some hot food and a pint at the bar with your mates. On an evening, explore our cocktail menu, play some beer pong and take advantage of our student-friendly drink prices.
- InfoPoint: Our one stop shop for everything you need from the SU. We're here to answer any questions and point you in the right direction for any help or support you might need.
- Gaming Zone: Kick back, relax and level up your downtime. Hangout and play the latest games from Mario Kart to FIFA on the ground floor gaming area.
Sports, Societies and Networks
YSJSU has over 50 sport clubs, societies and networks to get involved in. Meet like-minded people and fill your social calendar with incredible events from the moment you arrive on campus.
Events
We host a range of events for everyone throughout the year, from Archie’s Big Quiz on a Tuesday to £1 a Pint and Karaoke on a Saturday. Join us for movie nights, workshops, live music and much more.

YSJSU offers free independent advice and support on academic matters, and we can also help signpost to and work with support and welfare services. We're here to support you all year round to give you the best student experience possible.
