Subject Director: Design
With over 16 years’ experience as a Graphic Designer; specialising in typography, branding and editorial design, I have worked with a range of national and international clients. I have exhibited my work at various locations including Somerset House in London, and also curated numerous exhibitions at locations including Leeds Gallery and Leeds Central Library. I have had my work featured in Creative Review and recently had one of my Ampersand designs showcased within the first French translation of ‘The History of the Ampersand’ by Jan Tschichold.
I have over 13 years of experience working in higher education, the previous 7 as a Senior Lecturer. I completed an MA in Graphic Design at the University of Hertfordshire in 2015 and a PGCE at the University of Huddersfield in 2012. I am a Fellow of the HEA, a member of D&AD and a member of the Graphic Design Educators Network.
My ongoing research project is exploring the legibility and accessibility of type.
