Your experience
A university degree
As part of the apprenticeship, you will study towards an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the relevant field. When you complete your end-point assessment, you will be awarded an Apprenticeship Certificate and receive your degree award at your graduation ceremony.
Professional accreditation
Our degree apprenticeships are also aligned with leading institutions and professional membership bodies where you can can access resources and support. When you graduate, you can apply for professional recognition from organisations aligned to your programme such as the Chartered Institute of IT (BCS), Chartered Management Institute (CMI) or Association of Project Management (APM).
Support
During your studies you will be allocated a Work-based Learning Tutor by the University and a workplace mentor by your employer to help guide you through your apprenticeship and ensuring your progress is on track with regular 1 to 1 sessions. You will have access to the all of the University's support services including study support with academic writing and research skills, and opportunities for formative assessment and feedback to develop and continuously improve your performance while on the course.
Continuing professional development
We strongly encourage our learners to undertake continuing professional development alongside their course to enhance their skills and future career prospects. Opportunities include an abundance of resources and events through York St John but also membership for all of our apprentices to the Association of Apprentices which freely provides access to advice and guidance and professional networks.
