Prior to joining York St John University in October 2023 I worked at York Teaching Hospitals for 8 years in the Emergency Department with a focus on admission avoidance and frailty at the front door. Prior to this I worked at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in both the Emergency Department and on the admissions wards for 6 years, at both St James's and Leeds General Infirmary. I also have experience in hand trauma, burns and splinting from my jobs at James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough and Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield.

I am a lecturer on both the Undergraduate and Masters courses in Occupational Therapy.

I completed my Masters degree at York St John University in Professional Health and Social Care in 2015.
