Limor Augustin

Widening Participation Officer

Limor Augustin

I have worked in higher education for 7 years in a number of different roles and projects ranging from student advice to technical and research roles. I also worked as a lecturer for several years, becoming a HEA Fellow in 2021. Before working in higher education, I had a career in the voluntary sector, starting with youth work and moving into mental health roles where I supported people experiencing severe and enduring mental health issues.

I enjoy supporting people to follow their passions and realise their potential, and the roles where I have supported young people with their growth and developing their confidence have been a real highlight of my career.

I love to learn and develop my own knowledge and skills, so alongside working within the Widening Participation Team, I am also completing my doctoral research which uses a narrative methodology to engage deeply with stories and what they can teach us.

Outside my work life, I enjoy spending time within multiple community groups that I am involved with. I love to travel when I can and to spend time with my loved ones, ideally enjoying some food together too.
