Dr Tokunbo Alaga Olorundami

I completed my PhD at Newcastle University and hold multiple postgraduate qualifications, including an MSc in GIS (University of Nottingham), MSc in Spatial Planning and Environmental Assessment (University of Dundee), and a PGCert in Research Training (Newcastle). I also hold a BSc (Hons) in Geography and Regional Planning (University of Calabar), a PGCert from Oxford Brookes University, and a Certificate in ESG and Climate Change from the University of Pennsylvania (USA).
My academic and professional journey spans several institutions and continents. Prior to joining York St John University, I held lecturing roles at Oxford Brookes University, Newcastle University, Sheffield College, University of Nottingham, and the University of Calabar. Across these roles, I taught a broad range of subjects, including Sustainability and Development, Planning Process, Research Methodologies, Biodiversity Conservation, GIS, Population Geography, and Environmental Management. I also served as Programme Administrator and Director of Studies at the African Development Study Centre, where I coordinated CPD training programmes across several African countries, contributing to professional capacity building in development and sustainability.
