We support you throughout your studies with a variety of services.
We work hard to make sure that you settle in and find your place in the vibrant York St John community. Support begins as soon as you arrive at University with our Welcome Week activities. These introduce you to your course and your University.
When you have enrolled, our full range of support begins for you. Our services will support you for your whole course and beyond.
Student Hub
All support is accessed through our Student Hub, so you can get the help and advice you need through one simple route. Support is provided online, in person and by phone. The Student Hub includes:
- A dedicated space on campus with an enquiry desk, spaces for private conversations, and interactive help points.
- An online portal which includes a searchable library of help pages, system for submitting queries, and appointment bookings.

Student life will bring you lots of new opportunities but we know it can also be challenging at times.
We offer practical help and emotional and psychological support. We will work with you in complete confidence to decide the best support for your difficulty or issue.

Disability support
We are here to help applicants and students with disabilities, long-term health conditions, mental health conditions or specific learning difficulties.
If you declare a disability when you apply to study with us, our team will contact you to offer support.

Faith support
We recognise and respect all faiths at York St John. Our chapel is a multi-faith space open to all. It includes a prayer room, quiet room and peace garden.
We celebrate many different religious festivals on campus. Our Faith Advisers are here to support and encourage you, engage in dialogue and promote understanding.

Student Health Centre
Our Student Health Centre is based on our York campus. We encourage all students who live in our accommodation sites to register with the Centre when you join us.
Run by York Medical Group, the Student Health Centre offers a range of health services and appointment types including GP and nurse appointments and a medication transfer service.
I have turned to several of the university's student services for support and guidance. My experience with YSJ student services has made me feel secure and advocated for within the YSJ community.
