Our Study Abroad programme is an incredible opportunity for you to spend a semester or a year of your York St John degree studying in a different country.

We have exchange agreements in place with universities all around the world that have been carefully selected for their compatibility with York St John University courses. For non language students, all modules you study abroad are credit bearing and will count towards your York St John University degree. For language students, the modules are non-credit bearing and will not count towards your degree.

Finland

Metropolia is Finland's largest university of applied sciences and was founded in 2008. It prides itself on its international atmosphere, with around 1400 international students who represent 90 different nationalities.

Juniata College

Pennsylvania, USA

Juniata College is a nationally ranked college, in the peaceful town of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. It is located on a train route that connects students with nearby cities, such as Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, making its way to New York.

Keene State College is a public institution that was founded in 1909 and was recently voted as one of the most sustainable colleges in America. The city of Keene offers access to popular metropolitan areas such as Boston, Montreal, and New York.

Lakehead Thunder Bay campus was established in 1965 and is ranked number 1 in Canada for undergraduate research. The campus is situated of the north shore of Lake Superior, the world's largest freshwater lake. The surrounding area has breathtaking nature and plenty of outdoor recreation.

Munich, Germany

Munich University of Applied Sciences is the largest university of applied sciences in Bavaria, spread over 3 large campus sites. The city of Munich has extensive parks and famous architecture, as well as a thriving cultural and artistic scene with many theatres, museums, concerts, literature, and nightlife.

Pacific University

Oregon, USA

Pacific University was founded in 1849 and is built on the mission 'education for all'. Facilities, amenities, and accommodation are all within the area of Forest Grove, within close proximity to the city of Portland.

Rovira I Virgili University

Tarragona, Spain

Universitat Rovira I Virgili (URV) is in the province of Tarragona, in the north east of Spain. This area is well connected with the rest of Spain - Barcelona is 60 miles away and Madrid is 350 miles away. The University attracts about 500 exchange students every year, so you will be part of a strong international network.

Satakunta University of Applied Sciences

Pori, Finland

Satakunta University of Applied Sciences is a small university of just over 6,000 students, across 4 campuses. Pori is the tenth largest city in Finland, and is situated in the south west. It has rail, bus and air connections to a number of cities, including Helsinki to the east and Stockholm in Sweden.

State University of New York, Potsdam

Potsdam, New York, USA

The State University of New York at Potsdam is one of America's first 50 colleges and the oldest institution in the State University of New York (SUNY) system. It is located on the Raquette River, around 7 hours drive from New York City but close to the major Canadian cities of Ottawa and Montreal.

The University of Agder is in southern Norway, and was officially founded in 2007. Agder is a fast-growing city, known for its culture, beautiful scenery and excellent student environment.

University of Breda

Breda, Netherlands

Breda University of Applied Sciences is a medium-sized, government-funded higher education institute. Breda is an old city in the south of the Netherlands, close to the Belgian border. It has rail links to Amsterdam and Rotterdam in the north, and Antwerp and Brussels to the south.

University of Luxembourg

Luxembourg

The University of Luxembourg was founded in 2003 and is the only public university in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. 60% of students are international students, and the majority of staff members and academics have an international background.

Krakow, Poland

The University of the National Education Commission, Krakow, is the largest and one of the oldest universities in Poland and is known for its high prestige, professional education and modernity. The university is in the city of Krakow, rich in history, culture, arts and unique architecture.

The University of Regina is one of Canada's top 15 comprehensive universities. It is a short distance from the Regina International Airport and is nestled in Wascana Park, one of the largest urban parks in North America.

Willamette University at the Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) is a private, non-profit fine arts and design college. The university is in the centre of Portland and is just 60 miles from both Mount Hood and the Pacific Ocean.

Aichi Shukutoku University

Aichi Shukutoku University was originally founded in 1905 as Aichi Shukutoku School of Girls and became Aichi Shukutoku University in 1975. It is less than 2 hours from Tokyo and Osaka.

International Christian University (ICU) was founded in 1949, and envisaged as a 'university of tomorrow'. ICU's main campus is in western Tokyo, close to the city of Mitaka.

Yokohama, Japan

Kanagawa University was founded in 1928 as an evening school, and developed into a university in 1949. Its main campus is located in Yokohama in Kanagawa Prefecture, overlooking Yokohama Bay and city skyline.

Meiji Gakuin University (MGU) is a fully-accredited, selective liberal arts university with 6 faculties and 16 departments, with a strong focus on international engagement.

Hallym University was founded in 1982 and has 8 colleges and 6 schools. It is located in Chuncheon in the north of South Korea, 1 hour by train from Seoul. Chuncheon is the capital of the province of Gangwon-do and is a popular tourist destination.

Hanyang University was founded in 1939. The university's Erica campus is located in Ansan, close to the cities of Incheon and South Korean capital, Seoul.

Incheon National University was granted university status in 1988. It is based in the city of Incheon in the north east of the country, and is less than 30 miles from Seoul.
