How to complete your enrolment
Complete these steps to enrol on your York St John University course.
When you have fully completed the enrolment process below, you will be able to:
- Use the library
- Use computing facilities
- Receive your University Student ID card (if you are eligible)
- Have your student loan payments initiated (if applicable)
The final date for enrolment is 2 weeks after the start of your course. After that date, access to online enrolment will be denied and your record will be withdrawn.
Receive your enrolment email
Before you can begin, you need to get your enrolment email.
Your enrolment email will contain your Student ID number and enrolment key.
If your offer is conditional upon receipt of results, you will receive your enrolment email once our Admissions team have confirmed your place.

Create your IT account
Create your IT account at the link below:
You will need your enrolment key and a digital photograph. A photograph is required for ID purposes and will be used for your Student ID card, if you are eligible for one.

Enrol online
As part of this process, you will be asked to confirm your personal details and provide information about how you will be funding your course.
Please note, you will not be able to log in until you have received your enrolment email. For support, please contact enrolment@yorksj.ac.uk.
International Students
Please note: You do not need to wait until you arrive in the UK to complete the online enrolment task. This part of the process should be completed as soon as you receive the email from the Enrolment team.
Complete student registration
The final part of the enrolment process is registration which you will complete in person when you arrive on campus. Further information about the registration process will be sent to you by email from the Enrolment team.

Collect your student ID card
Home students
When you attend your registration session you should be able to collect your student ID card.
Further information about collecting your ID card will be provided to you before your course start date.
You need to make sure you have uploaded a suitable photograph at least 5 working days before your course start date so that we have time to get your card ready for you. Please make sure you bring along a form of photo ID when you come to collect.
International students
You will be able to collect your ID card after your documents have been checked by the Visa and Compliance team and you have completed your registration.
London Campus students
If you are a student enrolling at our London campus please follow steps 1 to 3 above.
You will then need to complete your registration at the London Campus. Please visit our London welcome pages for all the information you need.
