Our potential future students are currently trying to make their decision about where to study, and nobody can explain what makes York St John special better than you can. The Marketing team would love your help in giving potential students an authentic, honest account of what they can expect from studying with us.
We would like to represent as wide a variety of voices as possible, so if you feel like your story isn't one that is often told in higher education, we would especially love to hear from you.
Here are some of the ways we may use your story if you fill in this form, and optionally also attend a photo shoot:

Below are some examples of case studies we have used on the course pages of our website.

Jane-Mary Occupational Therapy (Pre-Registration) MSc
The best thing about the course was the amazing support I got from staff, especially being a mature student and not having been in study for a long time. I also loved that we were a small cohort on the course and we all become friends right from the beginning and we still keep in touch with each other.

Morgan Physical Education and Sports Coaching
I chose my course because I am a huge fan of sport and P.E and I would really love to become a P.E teacher when I finish university. Because my course focuses directly on what I need to learn in order to become a successful P.E teacher and teaches me the skills needed for when I start working. The course will also provide me with work experience within schools for example through placement allowing me to build my confidence in that area.
Piaras Creative Writing
I chose to study Creative Writing because I have always loved telling stories, and the course helped me tell stories in a way I never imagined I could. It also helped me make that first move into allowing others to actually read my work which was such an amazing feeling. The best thing about Creative Writing is the tutors. Learning from people who have actually achieved in the field is such an honour. The feedback on my work was always constructive and made me a better writer.

Charlotte Accounting and Finance
This course has really helped to prepare me for going into the ‘working world’. Most of my modules related to the reality of life in the business world. My lecturers had all previously worked in the industry which meant that we had some great links to industry. We would have guest talks and links for work experience placements. For example, my Tax lecturer was able to set up 3 days work experience for me and 2 others at BHP (a local chartered accountants office). It’s made the idea of getting a graduate job a little less daunting!

Hannah Accounting and Finance
The lecturers go above and beyond to ensure you have the best chance at fulfilling your potential. Throughout the degree, there are many opportunities to volunteer, building on your CV, something that looks great to employers. There are also additional services available with the careers department, from CV checks to mock assessment centres. Accounting and Finance gives you the opportunity to explore career paths you never knew existed.
Ella Accounting and Finance
I learnt basically everything there is to know about accounting: how to balance my time; how to prioritise things such as exam preparation; a lot about the world of business. We did a lot of case study sessions which really helped me understand things in perspective. My placement year massively helped me prepare for the working world and understand what to expect when starting my career properly.
