How to make a payment to York St John University.

The Finance office is open from Monday to Friday from 10.00am to 3.00pm. It is located on the first floor in Ripon Wing.

Paying tuition fees

All students are presented with a list of payment options during the enrolment process at the start of each academic year. You should expect to pay fees for every year you are in attendance.

Tuition fee loan (UK or EU-Settled students only)

If you have applied for a tuition fee loan, Student Finance England (or other relevant Student Loan Company Agency) will inform the University of the amount of the loan you have applied for. You will be shown at enrolment the outstanding balance you have to pay.

If the University has not yet been informed of your loan from Student Finance at the time of your enrolment, do not worry. Select the option 'I have applied for a tuition fee loan from SFE/SAAS', and this will enable you to complete your enrolment process.

Payment options

These payment options can be used by students and third parties, for all payments including tuition fees and accommodation costs.

Payment by credit or debit card

You can make an immediate payment by card via your statement on your e:Vision account or through the University Online Payment System. You will need your student ID number (or the ID number of the student you are paying on behalf of) and date of birth to log in to the system.

Please note that we are not able to process credit or debit card payments made over the phone. Card payments can still be made in person at the Finance office on our York campus.

Updating card details

If the card details you previously provided on enrolment or directly to the finance office have changed or the card has expired, you can update them by using the University Customer Card Update system.

This will allow any future payments to be made automatically from your new card.

Payment by sponsor

If an organisation is paying some or all of your tuition fees, you are required to provide the details of the organisation before your enrolment can be completed.
