I am a Global Leader in Business Management at York St John University (UK), outside YSJ I am Full Professor in Strategy & Negotiation at the University of Trento (Italy) and Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg. Previously, I have held a Professorship at the University of Lincoln (UK), where in 2018 I co-founded the UNESCO Chair in Responsible Foresight for Sustainable Development. I received my PhD from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy.
My research focuses on entrepreneurial decision-making, negotiation, digitalization and sustainability, internationalization, and the strategic management of SMEs. Since 2021, I have been annually ranked among the World's Top 2% Scientists by Elsevier BV and Stanford University, and my award-winning work spans over 100 contributions published in highly ranked journals, including the HRM Journal, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Small Business Management, Small Business Economics, Business Strategy and the Environment, and IEEE TEM, among others.
I serve as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Management Reviews, Editor-in-Chief of Strategic Change and the Journal of Enterprising Communities, and as editor of the book series Entrepreneurial Behaviour (Emerald). I also act as Track Chair for "Entrepreneurial Decision Making and Behaviour" at the European Academy of Management.
In 2024, I was elected to the Council of the British Academy of Management and to the Peer Review College, reflecting my ongoing commitment to advancing the field and supporting the broader academic community. Since 2021, I have been ranked among the World's Top 2% Scientists List of outstanding researchers prepared by Elsevier BV, Stanford University, USA.
