Starting my counsellor training in my early twenties I have found myself curious to my relationship with age and the counselling profession. My master's research explored the perceptions of counsellors who were between the ages of 20-30-years-old, and who qualified within the past five years. I aimed to explore their experiences of age within the counselling profession, to understanding attitudes and experiences, wider than my own, to build greater exploration of an under researched area.
I am currently working in private practice for counselling and supervision clients, and I have over 2,500 counselling practice hours.
I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP Accred.), holding additional qualifications in trauma-informed practice, online and telephone counselling and supervision.
