I am nearing completion of a practice-based PhD in Composition at the University of Edinburgh, where I am studying with Dr Gareth Williams and Dr Martin Parker. My BA was in Music and MA in Composition, studying both at York St John University with Dr David Lancaster and Professor Liz Mellor.

I am a Lecturer of Music and teach across the BA (Hons) Music and BA (Hons) Musical Theatre courses. I often support students across modules with music theory, ensemble music practice, performance, and composition.

In my music-making, teaching, and research, I am particularly interested in exploring notions of brevity and how that might manifest in the music that I create. I am also interested in how we embed opportunities for enterprise and entrepreneurship in artistic disciplines in higher education and its impact on graduate prospects.
