I am an Academic Associate and PhD Researcher in the Social Sciences, where I teach across a range of modules in Sociology and Criminology. My current doctoral research explores the gendered, social, cultural and political dimensions of podcasting. As well as academic interests, I also have a professional background as a qualified counsellor. My current counselling experience involves working with young people within an educational environment. My previous work as a Research Assistant for the Institute of Social Justice on the Men's Suicide Prevention Impact and Evaluation Project involved co-participatory research with the York-based charity, Menfulness. These experiences inform the lens I bring to my academic work and my commitment to feminist, reflexive approaches to the social sciences.
