My research centres on contextual Human Resource Management, leadership, organisational behaviour, people analytics and sustainability, with a particular focus on SMEs. My doctoral research examined the determinants of HRM formality and performance in SMEs, and this interest continues to shape my work on how organisational context, informality, leadership and people management practices influence workplace outcomes. I also have a developing research interest in ethnic minority entrepreneurship, particularly in relation to SME development, resilience and growth within constrained or underrepresented business contexts. More recently, my work has extended into the implications of artificial intelligence for higher education, academic practice, assessment design and organisational change. I have published in ABS-ranked journals including the International Journal of Hospitality Management, Industrial Marketing Management, Asia Pacific Journal of Human Resources, Higher Education Quarterly, International Journal of Conflict Management, Journal of Management & Organisation and Employee Relations. I am also active in the wider academic community as a journal reviewer and external examiner, and I welcome research conversations in the areas of HRM, leadership, people analytics and SMEs.
