I have a Bachelor's degree in International Journalism (Hochschule Bremen, Germany) and a Master's degree from the University of Leeds in Public Relations. After graduating in 2014, I worked in the public relations and marketing industry, both in an agency and in-house setting, for nearly ten years. My most recent industry role was as an International PR Manager for a global luxury fashion brand.
I started teaching at York St John University in 2022, covering courses including Fashion Marketing, International Business and Business Management across all levels of study. I am also a supervisor for the level 7 Capstone project, as well as a dissertation supervisor for final year UG students. In addition to that, I am occasionally teaching in the School of Arts, where I have developed a new Public Relations and Communication module.
Since 2024, I have been a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Currently, I am supporting the wider team as reviewer for new HEA applications within the YSJ Fellowship pathway. Additionally, I am working with new applicants as a mentor throughout the process, ensuring they are familiar with all requirements and encouraging them to develop their reflective writing skills.
