I’m Obasanjo Bolarinwa, a global public health expert dedicated to advancing evidence-based initiatives. Recognised for my research and education contributions, I’ve received awards like the Early Career Grant Award from the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and presented at major conferences worldwide. Currently, I am a Senior Lecturer and School Research Knowledge Transfer Co-Lead at York St John University, where I teach, develop curricula, and publish research. My expertise spans data visualisation, database management, and statistical analysis, all driven by my commitment to improving global public health.

I teach health promotion, principles, and practice, understanding healthcare research, and sexual and reproductive health.

I boast significant expertise in academia, primarily in public health. As a Public Health Lecturer at York St John University, United Kingdom and formerly at the University of Chester, United Kingdom, I have played a pivotal role in facilitating student learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, designing high-quality teaching materials, and contributing to curriculum development with a strong emphasis on evidence-based public health teachings, and I merged rigorous research with impactful knowledge dissemination. I have also enriched students' learning experience by conducting tutorials on research methodology literature search techniques and teaching the use of software applications like STATA, SPSS, and R.

I am a distinguished researcher in global public health and population studies. With a former role as a Research Assistant at the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, I honed skills in research protocol development, data collection, statistical analysis, and results presentation. At Kent County Council, United Kingdom, my former consultancy role involved developing research proposals and grant applications, data analysis, and report writing, focusing on the Black Asian and Minority Ethnic community's health and social care. I have an extensive list of publications, including contributions to renowned journals like BMJ Open, PloS One, and BMC of Public Health, which solidifies my position as an authoritative voice in global public health research.

I hold key affiliations with esteemed organisations like the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, the Royal Society for Public Health, the Population Association of America and the Union of African Population Studies, and I am deeply integrated within the global public health community. His commitment to academic excellence is further highlighted through editorial roles for esteemed journals such as PloS One, BMC Contraceptive and Reproductive Medicine, and the BMC Public Health Journal. My services extend to manuscript reviewing for high-impact journals like the Lancet Global Health Journal, BMJ Global Health, etc.

My professional certifications, encompassing Good Clinical Practice and Global Health Management, and proficiencies in data analysis tools like SPSS, STATA, and ArcGIS, showcase a holistic approach to public health – blending research, practice, and knowledge dissemination. In addition, my consultancy work with Kent County Council underscores my hands-on involvement in community health, particularly emphasising research outreach among the minority community.
