I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University, UK, with a degree in Information Technology (Software Engineering) in 2012, followed by an MSc in Web and Cloud Computing from the same institution.
My academic and research interests span machine learning, artificial intelligence, software engineering, and human–computer interaction, with research outputs presented at both national and international conferences. I am actively involved in internal and external research collaborations, contributing to ongoing projects while also developing proposals for future interdisciplinary work.
In August 2025, I joined York St John University as a Lecturer in Data and Computer Science. I hold SEDA (UK) accreditation through the Professional Development Framework, aligned with Descriptor 2 of the Professional Standards Framework, reflecting my commitment to effective, student-centred teaching. My current teaching portfolio includes cloud computing, cyber security, and mobile application development, where I focus on combining strong theoretical foundations with practical, industry-relevant skills.
I am also currently reading for a part-time PhD in Data Science at York St John University, further developing my research expertise and contributing to my ongoing academic and professional development.
With over 12 years of experience in higher education, I teach across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Data and Computer Science at both Level 6 and Level 7. My teaching spans Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Mobile Application Development, Software Engineering, and Human–Computer Interaction. I enjoy creating interactive and practical learning experiences that connect theory with real-world applications, while encouraging students to explore, question, experiment, and build confidence in their technical skills. Alongside teaching, I have extensive experience supervising student projects and research, supporting learners in developing their technical, analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
I am an active researcher with a growing publication and citation profile across areas including machine learning, artificial intelligence, software engineering, and human–computer interaction. My research has received over 120 citations, with a Google Scholar h-index of 5 and i10-index of 3, alongside a Scopus h-index of 4. I am actively engaged in national and international research collaborations, conference publications, peer reviewing, and the development of interdisciplinary research projects. My current research activities also support my ongoing PhD studies in Data Science and my wider academic contribution to research-led teaching and supervision.
