Henry Aluko

My name is Dr Henry A Aluko. I hold a PhD in Management from Cardiff Metropolitan University. Prior to this, I received my MA in Human Resource Management from University of Westminster, Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Higher Education Learning and Teaching from Anglia Rskin University, Postgraduate Certificate in Business Management from Obafemi Awolowo University, and Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from Kaduna Polytechnic.

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE), an Associate Member of the CIPD, a Project Management Professional (PMP), and a Certified John C Maxwell Trainer, Mentor and Coach.

Teaching

Over the years, I have taught across undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive levels, designing and leading modules that integrate innovative and inclusive pedagogies to enhance student learning.

My teaching practice is grounded in both traditional and digital methods, with a particular experience in management, leadership, business, entrepreneurship, ethical leadership, governance, and strategy.

Research

My research work has been presented at national and international conferences and publish in published in Q1 journals with several manuscripts under review. My research interests span ethical leadership, organisational culture, leadership, organisational behaviour, emotional intelligence, artificial intelligence in education, public governance, and sustainability in business practices.

I am passionate about bridging academic research with practice to support student development and global knowledge exchange.

Professional activities

I have experience of higher education course leadership roles in the UK and overseas. I have contributed to curriculum development, quality assurance, and faculty mentoring, while also delivering consultancy and training programmes nationally and internationally. I am recognised for my expertise in leading the adoption of case method teaching, and contributions to capacity building, having facilitated leadership development for over 50 businesses.

My work spans diverse global context, fostering cross-cultural collaborations and developing curricular centered on individual development. I am dedicated to advancing management education and shaping organisational futures in an evolving digital landscape.

I currently serve as Lecturer in Business Management and Health Studies Management Studies at York St John University London Campus.
