Jihyun Kim

I am a Lecturer in Korean at the School of Education, Language, and Psychology at York St John University, where I develop and teach Korean language modules for the Korean program. I hold a Master’s degree in TESOL from the University of Leeds, where I built a strong academic foundation in second language acquisition, instructional methodologies, and curriculum design.

With many years of teaching experience in higher education, primarily in Leeds and York, I have had the privilege of working with diverse student groups. My teaching approach emphasises communicative competence, intercultural awareness, and learner autonomy.
