I am a Lecturer in Business Management at York St John University, holding a PhD in Management from the University of York. My research focuses on the interplay between resilience and sustainability in operations and supply chain management, aiming to improve supply chain resilience by reducing disruptions and promoting sustainable practices. My work has been published in the International Journal of Logistics Applications and Research and presented at EurOMA, ICMR, GCSM, and SDM. Prior to this role, I contributed to UKRI EPSRC and Innovate UK projects as a postdoctoral research associate at the School for Business and Society, University of York. There, I investigated the application of digital twin technology to enhance supply chain resilience, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to conduct data analysis and simulations, including discrete-event simulation, to optimize production processes and integrate the digital twin framework into real-world business.

Teaching
I have codeveloped and delivered lectures and seminars for a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including Management and Business Environment, Management Information Systems, Research Methods, and Management and Sustainability.
Research
My research focuses on the dynamic interplay of supply chain resilience and sustainability, exploring the drivers of resilience (including individual factors) and the transformative impact of digitalisation on operations and supply chain management. I utilize complex adaptive systems and social network theory to inform my work. My methodological expertise includes regression analysis, social network analysis, data envelopment analysis (DEA), mathematical modelling, and discrete event simulation and optimization. I have presented my research at leading academic conferences, including the International Conference of Manufacturing Research (2023-2024), the International Conference on Sustainable Design and Manufacturing (2023-2024), EurOMA (2022 & 2024), and the Global Conference of Sustainable Manufacturing (2024). I actively collaborate with scholars and practitioners on projects related to sustainable performance evaluation and optimization within specific industries.
