I am a visiting academic at York Business School and teach across a broad range of subject areas at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Since 2012 I has being involved in the variety of governmental and non-governmental projects across different areas, including representation of the museum collections for blind and visually impaired people (2012, 2013), cultural integration of refugees in the local communities (2015, 2016) and humanitarian aid distribution for the war affected population (2022, 2023) working both as a project leader, trainer and consultant. This experience developed my ability to understand people's needs and built a high level of patience and tolerance.
I hold the certification in non-violent communication and do my best to create a supportive nonjudgmental environment in the classroom. I am happy not only to share my knowledge, but also to learn from my students, who taught me multiple things during over 15 years of the teaching career.

Further information
Teaching
I became a teacher in 2019 and never regretted this professional choice. I have experience with various age groups (from 4 to 72 years old), subject areas (business, project management, tourism, languages, history) and settings (university, business training, professional development courses, private tutoring, kindergarten) in three countries (Ukraine, China and the UK), teaching both online and in-person. I prefer the student-centered approach when communication strategy and level of the given information are designed specifically for the target audience. I am friendly and patient but believe in the necessity of discipline in the classroom.
Research
My main research interests center around the Ukrainian studies both from historical and modern perspectives.
I hold a PhD in Information Technologies in Archaeology and Masters in Tourism Management.
Throughout my research career I published a book (Essays on the archaeology of the Bronze Age of the Steppe zone of the Northern Black Sea, 2018) and multiple academic and journalistic articles.
Professional activities
I try to combine my teaching with practical work experience, which helps me to bring dynamics into the classroom.
I worked as a tour guide, archaeologist, museum researcher, hotel administrator, marketing manager, project manager and project leader. At some point I was the head of the grant writing department of the innovation center in regional governmental enterprise leading a small, but dedicated team.
In academia, I was lucky to teach in Dnipro University of Humanities, Henan Institute of Science and Technology, The University of York and in York St. John University.
I am very open for communication and happy to share my professional experience.
