Greetings! I'm Dr Muhammad Umar Farooq, an enthusiastic business lecturer with a blend of academic expertise and industry experience. With a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA), MBA and a Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership and Strategy, I bring a wealth of knowledge to the classroom. This fusion of academic rigor and industry insights allows me to offer students a holistic perspective on business concepts and practices.

Teaching
Currently, I serve as a lecturer and module director at York St John University, where I specialize in teaching Business, Marketing, and Project Management modules to postgraduate students. Prior to this, I contributed to the academic community at the University of East London and Regent's University London, further enriching my pedagogical approach and research endeavors. My teaching philosophy emphasizes creating dynamic learning environments that foster critical thinking and lifelong learning. I'm passionate about empowering students to excel in their academic and professional pursuits. With my diverse background and dedication to excellence in teaching and research, I'm committed to supporting the success of my students and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field. As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), I am dedicated to excellence in teaching and learning.

My research interests encompass areas such as digital marketing, SMEs, and the utilization of artificial intelligence in content creation. I am interested in exploring innovative strategies within these domains to enhance organizational performance and competitiveness. With a keen focus on cutting-edge methodologies and industry trends, my research contributes valuable insights to the fields of marketing and project management. I have published research papers and presented my findings at various conferences, further demonstrating my commitment to sharing knowledge and advancing scholarly discourse in these areas.
