Richard Skidmore

I joined the ITT team at York St John University in April 2022. Prior to this I was the Assistant Headteacher at Tockwith Church of England Primary Academy. I was a full time teacher for 17 years, teaching in a range of settings across both key stages 1 and 2.

I have worked on many different senior leadership teams and have led both key stages. I have been in charge of many subjects but spent a lot of time coordinating maths and computing. Whilst working with Ebor Academy Trust, I was able to lead Computing across 20 schools and also became a Google Certified Educator. I have worked on school to school support teams aimed at developing teaching and learning in struggling schools. I recently completed my National Professional Qualification for Headship.
