I visited on a York St John Open Day where I made my mind up, I felt right at home. York is a wonderful city and the university is central to everything. Every single encounter on the Open Day, from people showing us around to the lecturers was a positive experience.

At the Open Days, the aura of York St John was so positive and insightful that I felt like I was already a student even though I hadn’t applied yet. Furthermore, what remains vivid within my mind is that I entered a university-like seminar as part of the Open Day programme and was greeted by academics that were and, importantly, still are, as passionate about literature and media as I was.

My York St John University Journey began with an Open Day. I immediately felt at home. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. As it’s a smaller campus I didn’t feel at all overwhelmed. Following a long chat with the tutors, I knew that I was choosing the right course at the right place.

As soon as I stepped onto the York St John campus at the Open Day, I knew it was the university for me; the staff, students and the whole experience blew me away and made me feel so at home. I looked around a selection of universities, with York St John being the last university to view. Although this was the last university, and my brain was already full of information from elsewhere, this university topped all the others, with opportunities beyond what I could imagine and brilliant reviews.
